Workforce Planner
 
  • $95,423 per annum + 9.5% super

The Advisory Service is the frontline contact point for WorkSafe. Their key function is to provide expert consultative advice and guidance to the Victorian community on a wide range of WorkCover, Premium, Licensing and OH&S issues.

The Workforce Planner will be responsible for the oversight of all resourcing within Advisory Services. This will range from assessing current capacity, forecasting future requirements and providing recommendations to a range of stakeholders.

The operating hours for the Advisory service are designed to be flexible to meet the needs of the Victorian Community. The current hours of operation are between 7:30AM and 6:30PM, Monday to Friday with various shifts to provide service across these times.

 

About the role

Within this role you will interact with a wide variety of people and be responsible for:

  • Liaising with key stakeholders within the Service to understand the needs of the business from a resourcing perspective
  • Developing and maintaining operational resourcing solutions that takes into account normal business operations and known trends
  • Producing rosters in line with EA requirements and ensure that Advisory Services is well resourced to achieve SLA’s
  • Participating in relevant projects, audits, policy and procedural development as requested

 

Skills & experience

  • Previous experience as a Workforce Planner, Scheduler or similar
  • Proven experience in establishing and advancing workforce planning methodology within a mid to large organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and remain composed in a busy environment
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with peers, leaders and other stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to make recommendations
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills coupled with the agility to work in an environment where no day is the same as the last
