Team Leader Advisory
 
  • $120,109.00 per annum + Super
  • Fixed Term, 12 Month Opportunity

About the role

The Advisory Specialist Service is the frontline contact point for WorkSafe.  The key function is to provide expert consultative advice and guidance to the Victorian Community on a wide range of WorkCover, Premium, Licencing, OH&S and COVID-19 related issues.

As an Advisory Team Leader, you will be responsible for the daily management, coaching and development of up to 15 Advisors. You will enhance team performance through inspiring leadership, ongoing mentorship, coaching and development ensuring an exceptional client experience each time. 

The opening hours for the Advisory Service are designed to be flexible to meet the needs of the Victorian Community.  The current hours of work are between 7:15 am and 6:30 pm Monday to Friday with a roster across a range of different shifts to support these operating times. 

There may also be a requirement for overtime outside of these core rostered hours and on weekends to be undertaken.

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Advisors ensuring the delivery of a high level of customer service and support to the Victorian community
  • Leading and performance management of Advisors ensuring activity levels and service quality is achieved
  • Drive morale, motivation and engagement of team
  • Continually work towards improving business performance and processes

About you

You are an experienced Team Leader passionate about making a difference. Your communication and organisational skills are highly developed. You are a team orientated person who enjoys making a positive impact on your team and stakeholders. You are a natural leader with exceptional team building skills.  You will also possess:

  • Proven track record of leading, mentoring and developing a team
  • A vibrant approach to managing team performance and engaging with individuals to achieve consistently positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability working in an ambiguous environment with a responsive and flexible approach
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a strong focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to engage and influence a variety of senior stakeholders
  • Comprehensive understanding of the legal, policy and the operational environment (ideally health or insurance)
